Q&A: Collin Gallery

Q: Why do you play football?

A: I started playing because my dad wanted me to, and I continued to play in high school because I felt I was pretty good, and all of my friends played as well.

Q: Who is your football hero?

A: My football hero is Peyton Manning. He seems to always be in control, even when the game is not going his way. Also, the way his teammates always look to him to make plays and lead them is very cool to see.

Q: How do you plan on leading the team to success?

A: The plan for this team to succeed is for everyone to play as one unit. We can’t have people worrying about personal stats because that’s not what football is. It’s all about getting the win every week.

Q: What is something about the team that the fans don’t get to see?

A: The fans don’t get to see how hard we work at practice. The season can seem pretty long when you have tough practices, but our guys have really been making the most of them.

Q: What has been the best part of being on the team so far?

A: The best part about being on the team is always being around the guys. There’s nothing better than bus rides back to school after wins.

Q: How is the team adjusting to your new coach?

A: The team is adjusting to our new coach, [Anthony Orrick], like anyone adjusts to a new boss or person in charge. We’ve been seeing what his personality is like and what his structure is at practice. Also, he’s installed some new traditions, which I think is awesome.
