“Unbroken” Movie Review

Unbroken+Movie+Review

Not to long ago I had the opportunity to go see a war/survival movie that was surprisingly directed by Angelina Jolie. That’s right, I’m talking about “Unbroken”. A true story based on the track runner Louie Zamperini, who later qualifies for the 1936 Olympics. It starts off when Louie is a young boy who has been getting into trouble with the law on multiple occasions. His family see this and decides to put Louie on the high school track team. This was what changed his life forever, giving him an unbreakable will to complete every challenge that is throw at him. unbroken_poster_goldposter_com_1Once war breaks out in the Pacific, he is drafted into the Army Air Corps, and he is stationed as a bombardier until his plane crashes into the ocean and he and three others are forced to survive in the dangerous waters of the Mid-Pacific. Avoiding sharks and enemy planes in order to make it out alive.

I wont spoil too much of the film but it is an incredible film that will stick with you for a long time. I would give “Unbroken” 4.5/5 stars and definitely recommend seeing it before it gets out on DVD.
