“Mockingjay” review

Mockingjay+review

Going into this movie I didn’t really know what I was going to get. I had seen the other two movies and enjoyed them thoroughly, but the whole idea of splitting the last movie into two parts kind of sets me (the movie watcher) back in the whole field of excitement. It’s kind of like I’m going to see a trailer the real movie which comes a year later. So that kind of set me back.

First thing that I should say is that most of the movie had a plot that I didn’t expect. The majority of the movie is about a propaganda war between the resistance and the Capital. There wasn’t much action in the movie and to be honest, it wasn’t that big of a deal for me. It took a real interesting angle on the whole series and the ending was one of the best cliffhangers that I can remember in past years.

All together I thing that t Mockingjay was a good film and a decent sequel to an already great series. The interesting angle that the film makers took for this picture was definite a plus. The actors were great and at points there were really stressful moments, there were some also a few action scenes. Not to mention a great soundtrack.

So for a rating I would have to give it a 3.5/5 or 4/5. It was a good movie, but we still have to wait a year for the good stuff to get on screen. But all in all a good movie none the less.
