Junior graduates a year in advance
Junior Macie Bentley will receive her diploma alongside the graduating seniors this year on May 22.
“I’m ready for high school to be over,” Bentley said. “I’ve been ready since sophomore year.”
Although her post-graduation plans have since changed, Bentley originally planned to go into the medical field. Because this career path takes so much time, she wanted to expedite the process and get a head start on her studies. She now plans on studying advertising at Oklahoma Christian University in the fall. Even though Bentley will miss out on the traditional high school experience, she feels as though her experiences in college will be well worth the sacrifices.
“I do feel like I’m missing out on senior year but it’s worth it,” Bentley said. “I’m going to have so much more fun in college.”
