1. Why did you transfer to Southwest?
Originally, I came to Southwest in order to play baseball again. A lot of my very good friends were transferring there and found it to be a great opportunity to meet new people and get more involved with the school.
2. What is your favorite thing about the school?
Everyday is a good day to be at school. You get to be with all your friends through out the day and learn in a new environment.
3. What has been the hardest part of being here, instead of your old school?
To me, Southwest is nothing what I thought it was going to be. As the year progressed, it got much better. However, coming from Blue Valley High, it makes you realize how much things like culture, respect, loyalty, etc., really mean.
4. What activities, clubs or sports are you involved in?
During my first semester, I emceed the assemblies with my good friend Jackson Rowe. Mr. Roberts came up to our lunch table where we were sitting that day asking if I could emcee the assemblies – I told him yes but only if Jackson could do it with me. From there, Jackson and I teamed up performing every part together. It was a great experience.
5. If you could, how would you improve Southwest for next year?
You have to remember, this is year one. They still have not worked out all the kinks yet. I would suggest they do a better job preparing students for college. Administrators should discuss options for college with each student. Many kids are unsure of the opportunities they have due to the lack of communication from administrators. That would be a great subject to improve on.
