Gallery: Spring sports assembly
On Friday, April 15, students attended the spring sports assembly, the last assembly of the year. Senior Lauren Browning was recognized as one of the top two youth volunteers of 2016 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards for her work through Faces of Hope, a face painting charity she founded. Senior Riley Swickard presented science teacher Chris Jenson with the Sunflower teacher ambassador award, and junior Butch Clemons recognized junior Sam Thomas as the Sunflower student ambassador. The assembly also included a flash mob dance performed by a group of senior boys.
