How many years have you been teaching?
“Way too long. For 22 years.”
What other schools have you taught at?
“I have taught at Blue Valley North for 17-18 years. I started out in Shawnee Mission North for 2 years, and then I taught at Overland Trail Middle School with all of the fun middle schoolers.”
Why did you choose to teach Anatomy?
“I love the mysteries of the human body; how efficient and complex it is. This is an awesome profession.”
What was the best moment of teaching?
“When a student tells me when they like science after being in my class. I want them to see how cool science is. It’s way too cool.”
What’s your favorite part about teaching?
“When I can help a student who is trying to elude something for a while, and then I come over and explain it to them. Once they get it then they’ll see how easy it was. ‘Yea, that’s exactly it’.”
