The police are on the lookout today for an armed shooter between 159th to 199th and State Line to Metcalf. The man reportedly shot at a police officer before fleeing the construction site that he attempted to rob, on foot, around midnight. Police did not return fire and nobody was injured. Blue Valley Schools sent out an e-mail to all parents and students and continue to monitor the situation. Blue Valley will continue to send out additional updates regarding the situation. In order to keep students safe, precautionary measures have been taken such as patrolling bus stops and eliminating outdoor activities. Updates are to come throughout the day.
