‘Speak Now’
Taylor Swift will be releasing her latest album, “Speak Now,” on Oct. 25. Swift has already released the singles “Mine” and “Back to December,” but if the die-hard Taylor fans out there are still too anxious to wait, the album can be pre-ordered on iTunes or through Target. The country singer (or pop star? Is anyone sure?) has also performed several teasers of other tracks off the album such as “Innocent” as seen at the VMA’s, “
‘Muse’ tour-
Muse is currently on their worldwide tour featuring Passion Pit and Metric. Anyone planning to attend this concert will want to see both bands. Although Muse is the most widely known band in this tour, Metric has a rock sound similar to them, and Passion Pit is a techno group that can get any crowd dancing. The tour is divided, the first half with Muse and Passion Pit, the second half with Muse and Metric. When the tour comes to the Sprint Center on Nov. 2, it will only be with Metric.
‘Usher OMG’ Tour-
Usher is touring with his recent albums Raymond V Raymond and Versus (the deluxe edition of Raymond V Raymond) which went platinum in spring. The album had a few major hits such as “OMG”, “DJ Got Us Falling In Love,” and “There Goes My Baby” among others. This tour has been deemed the “must see” tour of 2010 because of the number of hits, and Usher’s signature dance style. Usher will be coming to the Sprint Center with Trey Songz on Nov. 27.

“Conan”-
Everyone remembers the Late Night fight between Jay Leno and Conan O’ Brien last spring. Well, for those who have been comedy-deprived since that famous ginger hair swoop left TV, fear not. On Nov. 8 “Conan” will make its debut to TBS, airing after Lopez Tonight, with pretty much the same basic concept and humor as Late Night With Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show.

“Life As We Know It”-
October is obviously abundant with horror flicks, but for those who just want a lighthearted comedy, this is the place to go. It’s about two people, Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel, who hate each other and are ready to start their careers, but their plans are slightly rearranged when they end up having to raise a baby together. Out in theaters now. PG-13
“It’s KindOf A Funny Story”-
This story is about an unusual, and comical, solution for one boy to escape his stressful teenage issues. When a sane Brooklyn teen (Keir Gilchrist) gets sick of his teenage life and overbearing parents, he decides to check himself into a mental clinic for a few days. There he meets a awkward patient (Zach Galifanakis) who becomes his mentor, and helps him win over an introvert girl patient (Emma Roberts) in the hospital. This hilarious comedy hit theaters last weekend. PG-13
“RED”-This action-comedy is based off the Cult D.C comics. Four retired CIA agents (Bruce Willis,Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich) used to be the best in the business, and are having trouble adjusting to typical senior lives. When they are falsely accused of an assassination, they are thrown back into the explosive action. In order to prove themselves innocent, they have to break into the CIA head quarters. RED opens Oct. 15. PG-13

Sugar and Spice-
Many The Hills watchers were devastated with the show’s recent end. But Lauren Conrad has been busy since then. On Oct. 5, she released Sugar and Spice, the third book in her L.A. Candy series. The series is about a celebrity named Jane Roberts who goes through all the perks, scandals and lifestyles that come with fame. The books are loosely based on Lauren’s experience on The Hills and some real life drama she had behind the scenes. On the same day she also released Style, her personal guide to fashion.
Dead Or Alive-
This will be the first book released by author Tom Clancy in seven years. This thriller is about a counter-terrorism organization in the US. The main character, Jack Ryan Jr., from Clancy’s past books is determined to stop a dangerous killer and terrorist Emir, who has been terrorizing western America. Dead Or Alive won’t be out until Dec. 7, but many book stores already have pre-order lists for this long awaited book.
