This past weekend the Timberwolves wrestling team had two of their seven state-qualifiers bring home hardware in Southwest’s inaugural season at the KSHSAA 5A State Championships. Senior Geof Wright placed fourth in the 119-pound bracket. Even better, the Timberwolves had one wrestler crowned as champ with senior Hunter Like taking home a 5A State Championship in the 160-pound division to Southwest. Like became not only the first Timberwolve’s wrestler to win it all but also the first State champion in the athletic competitions in Southwest history.
